When to go to Ovacik
Summers : Summer is the best time to visit
Ovacik when sunshine is obtainable for almost 13 hours in a day
and temperatures are high, exceeding 35°C that gets lowered by
interruptions of cool waves from the sea beaches. There is
generally no rainfall in this part of the year in Ovacik
.Throughout the summers, from July to September the temperatures
are never below 25°C .The beaches get crowded in summers in
Ovacik.
In summers, Ovacik offers a wide range of
sports like horse riding on the seas beaches and on the
mountains, banana boating, jet-skiing, and water-skiing, scuba
diving, canoeing, kayaking and white-water rafting snorkeling,
surfing and windsurfing. Mountain climbing, paragliding and
parasailing are also provided on the hill tops in summers. You
can even travel to nearby famous mud bath locations like the Dalyan and Butterfly Valley and take a boat trip that goes to 12
known islands close to Ovacik.

Winters: Ovacik is less crowded in
winters and many go for winters holidays to Ovacik, to get enjoy
on the empty beaches. Even in winters you get about 5 hours of
sunshine and the hill tops are covered with snow. The scenario
of snowy mountains looks beautiful in winters when the region
has maximum rainfall.
The temperatures are low around 15°C and
roads get wet and muddy with rain waters. The rains sometimes
cause flooding in few regions though the rains do not take place
throughout the day for long hours. Day time is warm and nights
are cold. But to go for sports like skiing on mountains, winters
will be the best time to visit Ovacik.

Christmas is not an event that is
celebrated in Ovacik but the New Year is celebrated and during
this part of the year Ovacik is not crowded .Ovacik is calm in
nights but Fethiye has few bars and restaurants that are kept
opened in the winter nights. Even the nearby Paspatur closes
except a few bars and restaurants.
Cost: To get low cost vacations in
Ovacik, winters will be good options because in winters most of
the off-season discounts are provided by the hotel owners and
flight companies.
