Shopping in Ovacik
Ovacik is a less developed resort; you
don’t find many shopping centers in Ovacik but to buy items the
residents of Ovacik generally reach out to shopping locations in
Marmaris and Fethiye. You can even hire a taxi and go to
Olu-Deniz. In Ovacik you can go to the local supermarkets where
you get items like jewelery, leather, clothing, metal wares,
shoes, bags, crafts and few other items in the markets of
Fethiye.
The markets in Ovacik are basically fruit
and vegetables markets and you don’t get branded items and
company clothing’s in the resort because it is a small resort
like a village. There are lots of small shops in Ovacik, selling
everyday essentials such as suntan lotion and cold drinks. For a
better company product and for varieties you can head into
Hisaronu or Fethiye.

Fethiye:
Fethiye is the main shopping centre close
to Ovacik and is at a distance of 10 to 15 minutes away by local
bus, dolmus. You can buy almost anything there. The local
superstore is very good and sells most of the things needed by a
traveler to this resort. Even meat and turkeys for your
Christmas dinner can be bought in Fethiye.
There is also a fish market in Fethiye
where you can buy fresh fish and there are cafe's around the
edge of the market that will take the fish and cook it and serve
it with bread and salad. It is one of the cheapest food options
and a great experience.

Hisonaru :
Hisonaru a short walk away and has many
restaurants, as is Olu-Deniz it is a personal choice, ask other
guests to recommend as it may change from season to season. Kaya
Koy is easy to get and you can even get a mud bath in Hisonaru.
There are many shops in Oul and Hisonaru.
Ovacik is far away from modernization
though it is picking up the trend and constructions of new
Shopping Malls are in plan for the resort. It is nice to see
Ovacik changing and expanding rapidly, though the natural assets
of the town are preserved and fresh.
